Which Oil??? Urgent

Hi guys

What oil should i use for my 1.6 stylance?

Looked in the manual and am a bit confused!!

I'm just about to check it, but i'm pretty sure it will need a topup.

Any help appreciated - im useless at this sorta thing!

by the way, i have some Mobil Super S - 10W/40 left from my old car so wondered if it might be useful to me!

Any oil that meets or exceeds VAG 505.00 standard can be used. Halfords sell Castrol Edge (which meets the standard), you could also go to http://www.millersoils.net/index2.html as Millers also do an oil.

If you look on the back of the container, it will tell you if it meets the VAG standard and give you the number (505.00, 505.01 507.00 etc)

If you are worried about getting the wrong one, you could go to the dealer... but you'll probably pay more!!

The Castrol Edge is the 'newer' oil of the two, hence the extra expense! I use the best available oil in my car, so it's up to you

so either would be fine then? i mean they are the correct ratings ect?

Im so paranoid about fcuking up my car!
