I'm still trying to track the leak after my turbo on my cupra 20VT (with little luck I might add)

Most connections after the turbo are fastened with jubilee clips, but on the end of the metal pipe that runs parallel with the cylinder head and then drops down the block, the metal pipe joins the rubber pipe differently. The metal pipe seems to shroud the rubber one and have some sort of circular clip.

I had the car up on axle stands so couldn't get too good a view, so how do you undo this joint as I'm trying to check all the pipes!

Ahhh, these would be the infamous VAG one-time-use clips! They are a royal pain in the arse to remove!

Cue lots of swearing, attacking with all manner of tools and quite possibly some grazed knuckles and you'll get it off. They take quite some force though!

Good luck ;)

Ha Ha! I live over looking a Dock on the river Aire. I can get swan, goose and duck necks! ;)

It doesn't look like a single use clip. As I say, the metal pipe is slightly wider at the end and the rubber one goes inside it. There are a few slots cut into the metal pipe and a metal ring goes around the pipe and it has some depressions that slot into the slots in the pipe.

It looks like a huge circlip type affair
