I have recently put an induction kit on my 1.4 beeza and had to get a little mini filter for the breather pipe from the crank case. i noticed when i had the engine runnin that there was quite a lot of steamy chemical smelling vapour coming out of the pipe.

is it usual for this to continuously vent the vapour and is it gona make it fail the mot?

worried that its burning oil somehow but its not really smokey more steamy!!

I used to have something similar on my old Nova (back in the day)

Yeah i used to get a bit of steam from my Crank Case filter, I think its normal because the nova never realy went through oil.

had it on mines too, never munched oil and it passed MOT first time, i wouldnt worry about it , by chance, is it a piperx one?

yeh iv been keepin an eye on the oil n its not goin down. ah well as long as it aint a problem. didnt get a pipercross one cos didnt think it would fit cos its a 19mm pipe on the inside. got a savage one from motormania only 6.99. looks like the ripspeed paper ones.

I put a breather filter on my ibiza, moisture built up in the oil as a result. From personal experience i would best avoid if you can, plus the fumes dont half get you high.
