ok folks i have a 51 plate 1.9 tdi ibiza

the car keeps getting to certain revs then not going any further which i beleive is called limp mode, i have replaced the maf sensor but its till doing the same

any ideas?

could be a boost leak or sticky turbo.. many things really. you need to find someone nearby who has VAG COM on a laptop to check what fault code is reported when it goes into limp mode. if no faults are reported then its time to do some logging.

What sort of rev limit ? 2000, 3000, 4000, etc and in what gear.

1st and 2nd gear it revs all the way

3rd and 4th will only go to bout 3000

5th wont go past 2500 (90 mph)

its intermittant tho

was on a dignostics system today and no faults were recorded
the guy did suggest a fuel filter change, could that be it?
