lowering my cupra

does any one know how long my standard shocks will last if i bye just springs and how low shall i go ? i dont want the wheels in the arches .

theyll be shagged anyway after 8+ years so youre probably just going to make them even more so... 40mm will be keeping the wheels outside the arches

Would be far more tempted to go for a new set. Even if they arent completely shot now then they soon will be after having a set of lowering springs on them.

with not changing shocks the general rule of thumb is to not get springs lower then 40mm.

Mine failed the MOT after I put 40mm springs on. Put original springs back on and have had trouble ever since with suspension
