be interesting to see if anyone could find the AM04 dyno graphs?

I am sure they were lurking around here, although some time ago as AM are not part of the site anymore
 
Would be good to see. What we really need is someone just to get one and then we will know for sure how good they will be. I think iancupra is getting one fitted soon so Im sure we will see some idea soon
 
The parts changed to make a k03s hybrid doesnt mean you might aswell start with a k03 as far as I know because the compressor wheel and bearings are changed and the housing milled out for a hybrid and the only difference between a standard k03 or k03s is the actuator and silenced vs unsilenced which are not changed when making a hybrid.

the actuators, although not identical, they are both rated the same pressure. the difference being that the k03 has a 2nd vacuum port however this makes no difference

an theres no benefit to having an unsilenced version

so yes, you could modify a regular k03 to the same spec as you could a k03sport since the base would be the same unit

i should hopefully be getting mine R/R'd again soon, so will ressurect this thread when i get the new results, but its true, they do boost right to the red.
 
What is the cost of going K03s hybrid Vs BT?

I mean I am guessing the only cost is to purchase the K03s hybrid, and bolt it on

one thing I will say is, when we had out K03S turbos mapped by Jabba, they did not enjoy doing it as apparently its harder to do on the Ibizas......and said they were not going to do the K03s conversions anymore...in dont know if this still stands?

thats ok then, proved me wrong....i just know when a bunch of us all visited Jabba, with all k03s conversions, I think Mike had enough after 2 solid days of mapping...he just commented on the K03s as not the easiest to work on with the Ibiza's

I dont know why though, as there are no issue with mapping the K03s on the Leons?:blink:

different ECU management maybe...I don't know, maybe someone can enlighten me:)
 
will let you know the outcome my car is still running the standard jabba map for the ko3 its been runing like this for a month and its still going strong
 
yeh jabba did say that they were not going to be mapping k03s ibiza cupra's anymore, but a couple of people since then have had it done. When i rang them in March, they said that they'd stopped doing them but people still seem to be booking them in! They said that the ibiza ecu is harder to map or something? and take's over 6 hours to do

lol they must still be doing them as I had my K03s ibiza done with them well over a year ago!

it did take them a long time to do our cars though...poor Mike he look knackered afterwards!

I guess it would look bad for them if they turned down the work...and also the customer would go elsewhere

interesting to see that they are still saying the same a year later though....

ibiza ecu's suk for mapping often
when they take so much longer to flash you have to ask the question is it worth the extra time vs what its earning you, vs its actually costing you in £/hour rate more than likely.


I dont look forward to mapping ibiza's on CC custom tunes as it usually takes ages in communication issues with ecu's which just slows down the whole operation massively.
