Just thought i'd share this with you...
some nice person has keyed my car, both passenger doors and boot..

might have happened at work or the petrol station..

reported to police, but it looks unlikely anything will happen as i haven't got a clue who might off done it...

if it was someone at work (the cctv on the carpark looks out of the carpark??) at least if find em they'll get the sack that makes me feel better.. plus the local booby will want a word..

but for now i'll just sit here a little depressed...

god bless mobile scratch fixers..

Dunno if this'll help, but my old Seat Leon Sport got keyed front to back along the drivers side by some fcuking little runt who goes to the local primary school (he/she/it did all the cars down my road!!)....... anyways, I called up Chips Away and they managed to remove all but the really deep scratches!

Though I ended up selling the car after a year to buy an FR! :D

I went to Seat to get a quote on the paint job and cos the scratch went across 4 panels, all 4 would have to be resprayed.....

£700 it would have cost me!!! :-o

What was even worse was that some poor guys passat got scratched to shreds on the passenger side....... looks like a scratch when the kid went to school, then one on his way home!!

Everyone complained to the headteacher and basically the scratches stopped once an announcement was made during assembley!

However, didn't catch the runt......... i swear i would have beat £700 out of the kid! :censored:

guys thanks.. i wish this was a uncommon occurance.. but it seems not..

got a local scratch guy coming out on monday next week.. see what he says.. fingers crossed..

i'm looking up old un-repeeled laws on what i can do to a person who does this sort of thing to your vehicle.. hopefully hot branding irons and private parts are involved..

cheers again

My local scratch guy (chips away) told me that you and gauge for yourself whether the scratch can be polished out by running your nail across it. If it's very deep and you can feel that it's about 1-2mm deep, then about 70% will be polished out.

If you can see bare metal in the scratch then it's too deep and you'll have to get it resprayed.

Plus the guy was saying that sometimes polishing it out can make it worse if you break through the laquer in the paint cos then you'll have to re-laquer it all then re-spray it! :(
