Just wondering what others are using to blacken / shine their tyres?

I currently use Armoural (not sure if thats how you spell it!) and find that it goes on well and looks great but washes off as soon as it rains or the car is washed.

Anyone found a product that lasts a while even after rain?

For those of you like me who wanted to fit the Seat oval exhaust trim to cover up the pea shooter standard item on the 1.9tdi but were told that it will not fit 07 m/y cars with the BXE engine, Hellfrauds do a range of oval trims made by ripspeed Prices start at around £27.00 and they will fit. You can also get a twin exhaust end to fit over the standard pipe too (obviously this would require trimming of the original exhaust end)

I have currently fitted an oval trim that I got from Motorworld for a tenner but to be honest I'm really tempted by the ripspeed trim, it looks big and chunky but not chavy imo. and is much better quality than the one I bought from Motorworld.

For tyre shine, I use halfords own Nylon/Rubber lubricant. Its basically a silicone spray..which is waterproof. Its designed to lubricate rubber and will stop them cracking and looks great....saves a few pence as well. You can also spray onto door seals, rubber and plastic bumpers etc...just wipe over with a dry cloth to remove excess.

I use poorboys tyre protector & shine. Best product ever for keeping them shiney and new, even when its poured down

Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel. A little goes a very long way, it doesn't run when it gets wet (unlike a lot of products) and its the longest lasting dressing I have found. Tyres still look decent at least 2-3 weeks later for example, where as Megs Endurance seems to last a few days at best (as well as running and leaving streaks when wet).

Sonus Bumper & Tyre dressing is supposed to be good, its on the cleanyourcar
website its there favourite

what tyres you using shaunw?
i used to have budget crap nankang tyres the tyre shine was good when applied bu after a few days in went
then changed my tyres to Toyo Proxos T1-R and the tyre shine stayed well on and looked much better

Ditto,

I used to be a MEgs Endurance user until using CG's new look trim gel.

It really is awesome, but don't use alot of product

for tyres we use Meguiars Hot Shine Tyre Gloss and exhaust end we usually use steal wool and finish off with Meguiars NXT All Metal Polish

Armour Guard spray on worked pretty well - last for about two weeks and when reapplied gave a nice deep black shine.

I currently use Megs Endurance but am looking to change!I like the product but ive got a silver car and as soon as i apply it and pull out the drive it sprays up the door even when just applying a little!
