I have a bit of a problem
I've just had a look at the wheels on my Cupra as I was going to get two new front tyres this week and I seem to have locking wheel nuts. That would be fantastic but I didn't get a key for them when I bought the car .
What I need to know is does the facelift Cupra (2004) have locking wheel nuts as standard and what are my options now as regards having the wheels removed (ie can SEAT give me a new key for them).
Thanks.

Mine is a 2000 pre facelift and i got locking bolts, so i would think they are a standard thing, even more so as yours 2004. I think most cars have locking nut now a days? And im sure the dealers can help you out. Hope this helps?

I don't think the locking nuts would have been standard Tbh !!!

Unless they were put on when if the first owner specified them as an option, depending what type they are, if they have 3 small female holes in the top to a male key they could be the Seat option ones, if thats the case, any Seat dealer should be able to order you a replacement key.

Firstly it's probably worth asking where you bought the car, they may have forgotten to put the key back in the car, this used to happen a lot at a garage i used to work at, presuming you haven't done that already.., if they are after market ones, you'll probably have to get them taken (chisled) off... :(

Edit.. I've got a 2002 20VT and i had to put my own on.

Update: Yep, the key for them is there :D

My girlfriend informs me this is normal, but this is the first car I've owned with a little space for it in the boot like that!

Thanks all :funk:
