after driving the car today i have a new theory, because the only codes im getting is coolant temp sensor and once in a while maf. i think the lose of boost is limp mode, i know this is meant to be 5psi but mine is 6/7psi. however befor my remap the car would boost to 8-10psi which i believe is more than standard. so i think the actuator may have been played with by a previous owner a fraction. Would a dodgy maf cause limp mode though?

I would get the coolant temp sensor change, it's very easy. Mine went before and gave me limp mode.

Coolant sensor would throw it into limp mode, which is right for the boost and g/s your getting.

For future reference make sure you mention what fault codes your getting, as most people, including myself, said your MAF is dead, while in fact it could be fine and just your car is in limp mode due to the stuffed coolant sensor.

Thats like 22 quid vs. 75 quid maf. lol.
