TURBO20V

Hi to all, recently bought a Leon Cupra 1.8T with 180bhp.

Am looking to soon have a Miltek exhaust fitted, panel filter and a remap and was wondering how much power that's likely to give.

The remap alone is supposed to be about 200bhp according to one website.

Are these mods popular, and will it give me similar performance to the Cupra R? [B)]

If you get a Live remap you will be the same/similar to LCR bhp but a slightly quicker spooling turbo
If you go for certain remaps you'll get the bhp of a LCR but not the driveability!!
Be careful who you get to remap it, a rolling road is a must and you get what you pay for.
Without a rolling road it is impossible to tell what BHP or torque the car is putting out. A generic map will just load on a map that was set up for someone elses car not yours and perhap not with the mods that you have fitted
In sort live/custom very good, generic good.

there are different stages of maps number 2 being the most power output but you'd need cat back exhaust fmic panel filter you should see 230 ish so thats more than a standard cupra r

sounds great, am thinking of a catback exhaust, panel filter and having it mapped at superchips. should get me 210bhp mayb? Are there better places to get the Leon mapped?

i personally would try to get it done at a vag tuner or some1 whos used to doing them on these engines go apr cc revo etc etc...just from personal experience i had a nightmare getting mine mapped by response chips.
ive got bf turbo back exhaust, filter and stg2 remap,no fmic tho(yet!) all of this does make a considerable difference!!:D however my car is ill at the mo and its still pretty quick!:p

Similar power yes, and similar straight line speed, but not similar performance. You need to be spending money on the suspension and braking setup before you can claim that ;)

It will be a big gain though, for sure :)

sounds like good news to me :) How about long term reliability? Can the K03 Turbo stand up to 210 to 220ish bhp for a few years to come?

you cand do yes but some places will charge you for another run also some offer a car scan with vag com to check for faults before mapping thats about £30 i think
