wipers on leon

I bought the VW conversion wipers for my leon.

Not overly happy with them. They wipe well but where the wiper blade attaches to the wiper arm looks bulky.

Can anyone tell me what wiper arms from the VAG cars fit the MK1 Leon to accept the newer style 'aero' blades?

Ah right. So did you just buy the Golf MK4 arms and blades? Not a conversion as such.

A lot more than you paid for the conversion kit, about £80 if I can remember.
The connector you have is no bulkier than the full conversion pic.

Yeah but it sits up high and looks daft from inside the car.

I noticed the same with mine, but I am so pleased with the fact that I can now see through the windscreen good enough to notice that I am not too fussed. The 80-90 for the full arm and blade set is a bit steep in my opinion, I did have a look at whether the actual mk4 aero blades are cheaper, thus saving money in the long run after replacing sets of blades, but they aint so Im happy to live with the strange arm shape that you can see from in the car. A complete mk4 golf arm and aero wiper conversion can be had for about £75 on ebay, but tbh, the vw conversion cost £24, and at 3 times the price your not going to get 3 times the wiping efficiency, imho...

If you do a search there were a few ppl on here a while ago who did the full golf arm conversion and weren't that happy with the results, as i recall.

heres a pic of my lc with the vw conv.. i don't feel they are too bulky, but each to his own..

And the thing i've noticed the most i don't get any wiper lift at speed now, wheras the originals were terrible at anything over 65..
