They are both great cars, petrol or diesel.
Petrol is more useable power? Are you real!? In everyday road driving, overtakes and general combination of britans roads the diesel is more suited. Driving like a maniac or on a race track, I admit the petrol is the car to have.
The petrol Cupra might not be flat, but the 150 FR petrol is.

There is a lot debate about petrol vs diesel.
As far as im concerned, I walk to work, and use the car at weekends and some evenings, so im not bothered about mpg, I bought the Petrol Cupra.
Yes diesel has it's plus points, if you do big mileage, and even then, it's completely up to the person who's buying whether they care about saving a few quid want petrol or diesel.
