cheers

my mates dads merc had this problem tdi again it was the cat was blocked had a new cat on fine. but before it would nt go past 3 k revs but now its all good

nah, after thinking about it i dont think it is either as i would have no boost at all times

You got any further with this? Mine (leon 110tdi) was playing up a few months ago so replaced the MAF sensor. Did an ecu reset and has been fine until last night. Went full throttle in 3rd and got up to just over 3krpm and felt as though had lost boost. Tried different gears but would struggle to get much higher than 3.5k rpm. Pulled over and switched off for a few mins and tried again, it drove spot on, no probs. Been ok today but its a bit worrying when your over taking that it may happen then!!
