hi, my lcr at the moment has been revo sps3 and i pipercross induction kit so i beleive its runnung at around 275/280 bhp,so im just wandering how to get more power? what have you guys done and what sort of power do you have? thanks, james

if you're really power hungry then a big turbo conversion is probably best for you. there are a few options like the popular IHI and garrett GT conversions along with a FMIC and a three inch downpipe. with all that you should be looking at 330+ bhp and a lighter wallet. :)

Firstly, take it on a reliable Rolling Road, to understand exactly what BHP you are getting, I fear you may be disappointed.

Agreed, about the Downpipe, along with a Decent exhaust set up. Doubt a FMIC will give you much more power, !

Oh o, the RR topic comes up again!

Revo & induction kit wouldn't give you 275-280bhp... 3" downpipe & high flow cat, FMIC & stage 2 remap would get you close.

As others have said, if you want more than 280bhp, your only real option is going bigger turbo. :)

Dunno bout more power, but why not just strip every last thing out of the car except driver's seat & steering wheel.

Guaranteed bang for your buck.

You wont achieve more than genuine 280bhp on standard K04 turbo!

Seeing as your minus a full exhaust system/FMIC and stage 2 mapping, you'll be at around 265bhp :)

Add these along with uprated TIP and possibly 280hp :)

Again, its all down to the rolling road set up. We recently went to P Torque and Lee's LCR, which is running Revo Stage 2, Blueflame Exhaust, acheived 271 BHP and that goes like stink.

I wont mention mine ( oh i just did ) which is Revo Stg 2, FMIC, TIP, Blueflame, etc etc and i got a whopping 251 BHP, but it also goes well. Hopefully the problem has been sorted though.

Lee only got 269.1bhp. But it is still alot better than 251bhp

270's flywheel are about the most you would expect with Stage 2 mods. FMIC, Full Exhaust HiFlow CAT, with Panel filter or CAI. If you have a 3" DP on top of that then you might squeeze a wee bit more torque out of it. But as Mitchy says, the weak link is the turbo it won't deliver anymore than that. Its hit its max point.

If you want more power, its Big Turbo time.

You'll get more out of it, if you can dial it in better for the boost and fuel timing. Find someone with an SPS3 who is willing to help you do some logging with VAGCOM. As long as the car is in tip top shape, ie no dodgy MAF or boost leaks, you should be seeing higher figures than that.

See Kev's guide - http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=89479

As long as those figures qouted by P Torques rollers indicate flywheel power and not at wheels, because if they are at wheels then its not too bad. But then no way is Lee's running 271 atw.
