HID's - Again

phew thanks guys, was worried for a minute

the passenger side ballast i mounted by placing it on the nut that holds the plastic air feed pipe in place (the one that runs from the grill to the airbox. anyone else placed it there? im slightly worried about rain water running onto the ballast?

Looks like this is the weekend for everyone fittings HIDS, which i am one of them !

Passangers side i put the Balast inside the blastic covers that you have to take off to get to the lighting, sits on the shelf behind the lighting plastic box just perfect, then no water can get to it.

Where abouts did you put your balast on for the drivers side? That is the one i seem to be having problems with.

there are two bolts that hold the grill in place, i undid the top one and bolted it to that....seems to be fine. i saw a pic of it previously....think it may have been fester that put it there.

I'm still very tempted with these, but how much would it cost to have them installed by a proper outfit? The only reason is that I can't be doing with resolving issues etc. I'm happy to pay a company to do the work as then their work should be guaranteed etc...

I drove home in my Cupra last night and with winter arriving the lights last night were pathetic..

All in for parts and fitting £250?

madness....why would you pay £250 quid for someone to do this when you can do it youself in an hour with a 25mm drill, a screwdriver and a 10mm spanner???? this hid set is £46 delivered from ebay.

I wouldn't pay anyone to do this. It's so easy you're just wasting money. There is no liability issues to even put on someone else nothing can go wrong with it.

It will take you 30-60 mins to do yourself if you check on here first.

I can't imagine you're earning 200 per hour in your current that it's not worth your time to do yourself, and if you are earning 200 an hour you most likely wouldn't be driving a cupra!

If on the other hand you're just scared to do it yourself that's understandable. Im a retard with car stuff, but even I did it, it's really easy to do. Give it a go!

It takes bout 15mins to do if you read the instructions, it really is the simplist mod ever!
easier to fit than an induction kit!
