theres also the smaller beesting aerial (though the original was great tbh), and unlike most people who seem to want to remove them, I actually added the side mouldings since I have to park in a tight driveway n didnt want to scuff the doors on the wall.
I was under the impression that adding alloys when they're not standard on my particular model increased the value of the car and therefore the chances of someone being inclined to rob it increase too? May have to look into that.
Might give the alloys a think for a while. I scuffed the trims only a couple of weeks ago on the curb. I've only been driving regularly for about 5 months now. Don't wanna fork out for alloys only to wreck em!
May eventually get the front mud guards....had enough trouble fitting the rear ones....one of em is held on by one screw, lol!
How is the aerial for signal strength?
I dont blame you for adding the side trims, as you might have seen on the first page of this thread ive added the exact SEAT logo'd ones to my silver Arosa, my black one has a dink or two since it hasnt any
If you fit the standard 14" Arosa alloys i wouldnt even say anything to the insurance company TBH, id just say i thought they were standard, must have been an option i didnt know it had!. Not 100% honest but they are standard wheels.
I love the practicality of trims though, i do a load of town driving so a load of parking too and very ocassionally i get a bit close to the curb when parking, but they still look smart, only a few marks on them. However its mainly my mum who curbs them since she now uses my silver 1.0 Arosa, so ive put all the best alloys on my car to save therims
I actually bought some 13" steel wheels with the Seat trims for her to have on and she could scuff them as much as she liked, but it looked so naff compared to its usual standard alloys i had to get rid of them! They look much better on 14" steels, so if i find some of those i might get them.
Front mudflaps are a must! They protect the sills from stone chips and
help keep the sides clean too. They are quite easy to fit too.
Right - spent a couple of hours cleaning and polishing her today (brrr - a bit chilly) and here are some better pics!
