Hi peeps, just taken delivery of my blue flame downpipe and cat after waiting weeks! On opening it i noticed a small dent on the knuckle of the elbow on the downpipe, is this meant to be there? Has anyone else got the same pipe and noticed this before. If its not meant to be there will it make any difference as not sure whether i can be bothered to got hrought the hassle of ordering a new one and sending it back!!!!:censored:! Any info would be much appreciated. Cheers Rich.

i bought the same off someone on these forums and it had the same dent, when i took it to be fitted the guy said that its there to stop the DP hitting the subframe or something along those lines, so its there for a reason... i think..

I don't remember my dent looking quite like that but yes its there for clearance issues

How much did you pay for it mate if you dont mind saying???

Blueflame are a bit wierd about price... I called for a quote this morning and they quoted higher than their eBay price, which I just found!

They've said they'll need to be custom made as they have none in stock - what would be the difference? Are stock items assembled elsewhere, FOR them? ...or just in advance, BY them.

Can we say why some have the dent and some dont?

I got mine around 2 months ago, called Blueflame and they quoted £318 for the dp+cat. They said they'd call me when it was made (as they dont carry these in stock), 2 days later i had a phone call saying it was ready so paid over the phone and it arrived next day. I'm pretty sure they make them in house and just to confirm mine definatley does not have a dent.

Cheers for the replys, spoke to the blueflame workshop today and he said its there for clearance otherwise when u put ya foot down the engine will move and something will hit the pipe. I think i paid £318 for www.potn.com.
service was terrible tho!!!!!
