What annoys me is that companies refuse to quote me (even that one mentioned by RCS2K4 wouldn't tell me the quote as it was stupid) as I technically have 3 claims across the 2 drivers (me and the Mrs on the policy).

One is a fault claim that the Mrs had 3 years ago, so fair enough.

I have a glass claim for a break in (claimed under the glass protection) and somebody hit the Mrs's car outside her old house (when she wasn't in the car) and the money was fully recovered from that.

Many companies now refused to quote because we have 3 claims, even though 2 are none fault.

Managed to get a good price in the end, but it was hard work, even with 14 years NCB.

They shouldn't hold it against you for "No Fault" claims. But I know they do and it's just another excuse for them to bump up the price.

How much are you paying to insure the Cupra phil?

Just over £600 in the end which isn't too bad. Took a lot of comparing prices and negotiating with my insurance company though and quite a few of my details were wrong which shot up the price.

Im 23, have a Mk2 LC, have 1 yrs no claims (thanks to some muppet) and have 3pts and I got mine for £900. Which I dont think is too bad considering I paid £700 last yr for my Fabia VRS (Group 9)

On the other hand though. I had to go on the seat 7 day complimentary insurance for 7 days as the dealer gave me the wrong licence plate number when I was setting up my insurance so they couldnt tax on the day of delivery.
Anyhows...I got my "complimentary" annual insurance quotation...

£5,500 !!!!! I know who im not going to use next yr!!

I had a quote from Seat Insurance and it was over 3x the amount I paid.
I like the way they say "we have to do a full quote and it'll take 10-15 minutes."
It was over 30!
