only had it 2 months and its broke down on me already, on a major busy island and the clutch hits the floor. think its stupid that this happens on nearly every cupra on here. its unsafe. seat are sorting it under warranty but ive just lost all confidence now. so a 42k yellow mk3 cupra maybe up for sale soon if anyone is interested?

Mine has had most of the usual things happen to it which are a nuisance, but at least I know that it's unlikely that anything major will go wrong as there are very few people of here who have had anything expensive happen.

No car is 100% reliable and in my opinion there are many, many less reliable than the Mk3 cupra.

I've had mine almost 18 months now, it's had..
new engine
new maf
one coilpack
and the clutch pedal snapped
and gearbox is being re-con'd next month as thats buggered lol

so think your problems minor tbh

yeah lucky indeed! if you search for the problems people have with their Cupra on here ive had nearly all of them :) Ive considered selling it but then i remember why i bought it. Cos very few people know what it is, what engines in it, so its that great feeling whenu smoke the business fannys in their TDi's :)

As much as the car pisses me right off most of the time i just cant sell it :'( haha

its just annoying more than anything and looking a total ****. ive had bmw's toyotas and vauxhalls and one has never broke down. just piss's me off

Thats irratating but nothing all at the same time, especially as you've had it repaired on the house!

You've just been unlucky and had something happen so soon after getting the car, theres a 207 at work thats been back eight times since august and that was sold brand new! Luck of the draw on all cars really i've had four trouble free cars.................... then along came the Cordy ;)

lol coil packs, maf, n75, water pump, fuses on top of battery, dodgy stereo, clutch sensor ummm there the most common things I think (along with the clutch pedal snapping)

Just did my coil packs. Nothing like being reduce to 35mph and 3 cylinders on the M25...

When I was trying to diagnose, another 2 packs went (At 52K miles). First issue in 1 year of ownership. I now have 4 new shiny coil packs..

Still got her and love her.

PS: This clutch thing - anything I can do to prevent it from happening ?
