Hey guys

I have just bought some Brake Discs from GSF, Brembo's. However...when it came to finding the correct size...the salesmen was positive that my car, Ibiza GTi 16v Cupra, was on 256mm brakes. I thought they were 280mm....?!

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks!

280mm up front and 256mm rears right?

Cheers edc!

correct.

i even have that set up on my 8v. although that might be down to the previous owner when he replaced them.

How much were the brembo's btw

You really don't need 312mm brakes on an Ibiza except for cosmetics. The 280s or even the 256s are more than good enough with some decent pads in them.

Lol 20vt? I wish!

You sold ur d90's at the wrong time....i wanted them :(

What splitties u gonna get? DZ's?

im in the market for some porsche splits as i still have my ibiza > porsche fitment adaptors lying around..

im debating whether or not to go for 15s again like the standard GTi 8v wheels are or keep with the 16s that ive always had.

Was looking into BBS RS's but christ, u seen the price.

I'll just be keeping a look out, even a set that need refurb'd.

you'll pay scene tax on any BBS rims these days, which is a shame, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

my brakes are 256mm fronts and 228mm rears, on 1.8 16v, my car really is a mongrel

i've got brembos, they were £37.50 for the rear pairs are £17.50 each for the fronts
