Help Needed

Any 1 got or no were i can get a step by step guide to take my gear box off as Haynes dont do a Manuel for a arosa.
its a 1997 1ltr MPI

things you would need to do there may be more , i would say put it in neutral when working on it , means if you go to refit it you know its not in gear

- disconnect driveshafts
- disconnect clutch cable
- disconnect gear change rods
- unbolt from engine block
- undo gearbox mount and make sure you dont send everything flying as you pull it away from the flywheel

Can you not get a Lupo Haynes?

Last time I checked I think the Haynes website said they were considering making one for the Lupo, but non-existed when I checked about 5 months ago.

Nope, can't get them and they don't plan to make them - not enough demand.

There is however one of the polo manuals which can be used for basics, but it doesn't give exact details

thx for the replies, just got off the phone to hallfords and there don't plan on makeing 1 for the lupo eather.

carnt find any think on the internet about a geat box

Hi m8, do you no if any of the engine mounts need to be lessened or tuck off to get the gear box off or back on ?

cant say ive taken my own one out but thats just some issues i know you will need to overcome

Have a look at the VAGcat site you will get a few diagrams and bits on there and you could cross reference that with the polo haynes manual.

the polo mk4 has the same gearbox layout.
i can print you out the vw removal procedure for the lupo or polo from elsa win if your prepared to send me a stamped envelope?
