Service Spanner

My Service Spanner has just come on for my Alteas 20000 Miles Service.

Cardiff Seat wanted £250,,,

A friend of my works at a garage and said he would do it on the hobble(full servive with VAG parts) wil the spanner reset itself or does a seat dealer need to do that?????

Is there much in the 20000 miles service to warrent £250?????

20k miles is a lube sevice (as far as I'm aware) and is oil and filter change, then a check round the other important bits like tires and brakes, and grease door hinges maybe. My VW dealer does this for me for £60 with the longlife quality oil. Others have said on here that about £80 - £100 is what they pay.

To reset the sevice spanner: - ignition off, press and hold the trip reset button, ignition on, then turn the button to the right, then let go. Job done.

When i was young free and single I would spend hours searching through this forum and the TT-forum but since the birth of my first child 5 mths ago my ass has not touched the ground so aint got much time to surf anymore.
