Exhaust system

Had my MOT last week, passed which was great news! Had the 60k service at the same time which showed the centre of the exhaust system had loose baffles. Does this mean I will be needing a whole new system shortly, or can the centre be replaced by itself? What sort of price would this be? Any guesses would be good!
Also had a note to say front and rear discs are worn, and will need changing before the next MOT. Dealers quoted £245 fronts, and £140 rear parts without fitting!

I recently changed the discs , rears were £50 inc pads, fronts 312mm £60 shop around and dont buy from the dealers, and fit your self if poss its easy.

Where did you find the front set for £60? is that pads and discs?

I got them from ebay there are loads some at £46 buy now, just put in 312mm discs and hey presto.

You could even try GSF or Euro for cheaper discs and pads
The centre section exhaust is usually a bracket that has snapped off
|This can cause a slight rattle
Majority of casses the bracket can be welded back on though
The centre section exhaust bracket is VERY common on Golf 4 chassis
