Not strictly true.
But the MK1 section seems to be dumping ground for any and every question from Newbies regardless of what topic the question relates to, so inevitably the MK1 members get fed up.
There are alot of more helpfull and less sarcastic members than me on here, so don't bring them all down to my level. :(

I try to help nuub's when i can, but what i've noticed in the oh so short time i've been on here is.... the lack of common curtesy by some who ask for help, you take the time to post a response then you don't get any thanks for your effort..... now that really pi$$'$ me off, so at times don't bother to post when i could have helped with something.... a simple thanks mate goes a long way, don't it.

Oh well, perhaps this is me being over sensitive.....

Another good point.
When your advice is free and helps someone out, it's nice to know it worked and was appreciated.

As each day goes past, the Mk1 Leon section gets more full of crap. Searches become harder to do, because of the increase in needless threads. I used to try my hardest to help, but in all honesty, I can't be bothered to get involved with some any more. The regular approach from a lot of newbies is alienating people who are willing to help, if you ask me.

If people just show they've made a bit of effort to help themselves and respect the forum than I'm more than willing to help.

Ps: I've just put 'Pillar Button' into the search and it comes up with useful threads amongst the crap. How hard is that?

Must admit I have an 'alarm button' related question but I'm not sure I should ask it (especially as I'm not exactly a noob any more either)

Anyways, leaving the windows and alarm on with out hitting the button doesn't cause the alarm to go off - am I just being lucky that I haven't upset the neighbours yet and should press the button or does it cope in that situation?

No you probably don't have the volumetric sensors activated ,as they aren't as a default.

If you have vag-com or can get someone to do it for you, they will need to be activated....
