Now Annoyed
Ok peeps. My onboared computer seems to have automatically reset my "average milage since new" totals which (if I have read the manual correctly

) it will do after 99 hours of driving. Or, me being a plonker, I have accidently held the button to long.
Don't think I held the button to long but, at my age, who knows

.
Got worried the other day when I decided to check and found it indicated 21.5mpg. Realised what had happened when this tended to change with the "current journey mpg". After a couple of days my overall mpg seems to be settling at about 27.8mpg.
The worrying thing is peeps. When I started this thread on 3 Feb 08 I had been running my car (for 5000 miles) on Super Unleaded which, at the time, was approximately 8p a litre more expensive than Normal Unleaded. Having seen the latest price increase at my local garage I know that my next fill of Normal Unleaded will now cost me the same as Super Unleaded was 2 months ago (nearly)

.
Also, as a person who "reluctantly" changed back from diesal to petrol. There is currently an 8p gap between "Normal unleaded" and "Diesal" price per litre at my local. Consequently, as a low milage driver, I feel I made the correct decision because (I personally feel that the government have renaged on their promise) that people who bought diesel cars would benifit from cheaper fuel.
OK. So I dip out on car tax. But I believe that the performance of the petrol DSG (even on unleaded) is worth the extra £100+ a year).
Truthfully I thought I may keep the Leon FR DSG for 1 year and then upgrade to the Leon Cupra. Errr is that a 7 speed DSG Bocanegra they are thinking of introducing next year
