If the sigs a problem i'll change it.

However, if I think the Cupra is a let down, then thats my opinion and really should not bother anyone, as im sure for every person who has a Cupra and is un-happy with it, there will be just as many who are happy with it.

Getting things back on track for those WHO DON'T want to take the out of me, the BMW dealer found an underwrite on the Leon at £15.5K, and squeezed them a bit to get it up by another 1K as they clarly have a huge margin to move on the cost of a BMW's list price.

That makes things a little better for me at p/x time The dealer can bet me a 335i M-Sport coupe used from group stock for a little less than what I was going to pay for a new 330i coupe, so will have to look at the options on both and see whats best for my bank balance!

However, I still keep thinking about modding the Leon to make it more exciting, but will need to spend thousands on lowering it, adding a new zorst, sound-proofing the door cards etc to stop rattles and getting the thing re-mapped... What to do?

You can obviously afford the BMW or you wouldn't be looking at them, plus you must have taken into account the money your going to lose by trading in so soon, so what's the problem?

At the end of the day it's just changing a car - hardly a life/death, make/break decision in the great scheme of things. . . .

And, should you decide in six months time that it was the wrong decision .......... I'm sure your local Seat dealership will welcome you back with open arms!

i have 20000km on my little leon fr, i live in the mountain in caracas venezuela, think about the worst road in UK then multiply that by 3 and you have the road i have to cross everysingle day, i drive 100km per day from monday to sunday, and the car doesnt rattle yet (knocks on wood) yes im young but i can assure you for the price i paid for my little leon im the most happy person with seat

What you might want to do, if you are still thinking about it one way or another, is take a trial map for free and see if the extra performance is something that can help the car save itself to you. Although the trial does not give 100% of the gain, it will show you what the 60-70bhp and extra torque will feel like

Having said that if you can afford a 335i, do it. Awesome car

What exactly did you expect? You bought a car that is obviously not to your taste and because it doesnt quite fit your needs you label it as crap. the cupra is not crap, you just obviously didnt quite do your research and think through what you really wanted out of a car, and hence you now looking at a vehicle which is in a completely different segment, and price league.

Anyway get a 335i and enjoy it whilt you can, cause once audi release their twin turbo 3 litre audi owners will be wiping te smile of smug bmw owners faces

It's painfull bringing up this thread again, but now the insults are out the way, i'll deliver an update...

I took the decision last week to KEEP the Cupra. I very nearly signed the form for the BMW, but couldn't do it. Seeing the sparkley Inferi Black paint glistening in the sun outside the BMW dealer, and all the ppl walking past the car having a good look when I left it outside Starbucks has changed my mind.

The 330i M-Sport Coupe would not attract the same passing glances (Unless it was the new M3, need more £££ though!). That was Tuesday, since then the "Big Beezer" has been to VagTech for a splash of REVO!

If I thought the engine was slow and progresive before, I totally take that back now. Car's an absolute animal - Constant boost anywhere in the rev range, and one massive shove into the back of the seat's when you go past 4K RPM - Followed by a nice whoosing noise when a gerachange is needed.

The map should be standard... They will sell a lot more Cupra's for sure.

It don't end there - I've ordered the Carbonio (sp?) air intake and Forge DV from Awsome GTI's online store, and will install them next week when they arrive. Then I start saving for the Miltek Sport's Cat / 3" Down Pipe zorst system...

I said I would never mod this car, but happens. It will end up like my Black Beezer FR TDi I used to have, not much was left stock when I sold her...

When it come down to it, I just want maximum power. I still stand by my comments about the awfull, rattling interior - Which is this car's biggest downfall.

Have already looked into placing dynomat in the door's to muffle the rattling door cards, and try and remove some of the wind and road noise...

You can pick up rolls of 'brown bread' for less than 80 quid off the net - you can always remove the headlining and put some in there. Or .... you can make the sound nicer

If the plastics rattle, consider sticking some adhesive foam / brown bread to the back of the plastics to shut them up. I've done this on mine and it helped a bit.

The car's stock Stereo needs some help too, bit I don't know if I can be bothered with the whole true component speaker set-up and sub. Done that to the Beezer FR, and it was an experience I don't want to go thru again!

Most change the comp's to coax speakers - But I don't want to really do that...

I'll bring the big beezer to next meet you guys are doing, as long as i'm not stuck at work... How comes you guy's don't go to Caldecotte Arms anymore?

In under 200 miles from new I'd gone exactly the same route as you mention about (apart from the DV as I had to wait for Forge to finish it!). If the results hadn't been so good I would have been tempted to ship mine back to the dealers in part ex for something else. The standard map is pretty lame, and by comparison the Revo map is very good. In the cold weather its been exceptional, and luckily for me in the bad weather we've had it doesn't make to much difference in the Audi
