Think i paid 3 squid for mine.
But it didn't solve the problem of my remote c/locking not working. Also tried resetting it. No bloody luck!
Just go slow over the speedbumps. I have to do that and its great p***ing people off because you slow right down.
Dtm mirrors would look good, Ive got a set that I aint using. I has them on the car for a few weeks but changed back to standard, didnt really like them when I put them on.
Aint posted on ere for a few days so i thought i would update u on whats been happening with me motor (unless u hav been reading my other 'problem' thread lol)
After having my car for a grand total of 4days it decided to play up
everytime i tried to accelerate there was no power at all, and by this i mean i was having to go up only slight hills in first gear and it was also soundin like a bloody tractor
So i took it up 2 the garage were i got it from and he sed it was sumthin to do with the spark plugs. So i left it at the garage for a couple days then when i got it back my mechanic told me he changed the spark plugs, leads, rotor arm and dizzy cap, so with this i took it for a spin and guess what......yet again lost all power
So i left it agian for another couple days and i went back today and now he has changed the timing on the timing belt, so again i took it fr another spin.................and it was spot on
The car felt like it was flying lol. Felt so much quicker than when i even first bought the car, and up 2 now the car has been alreyt, no power loss *touch wood* and no more tractor noises from the engine *touch wood again* lol
So i am now a very happy person lol :
So i need more modding suggestions now peeps lol
How much roughly do u reckon it would cost to get it lowered? I aint got much cash cos i am only a poor student lol, so if lowering it is too much cash what else are really cheap mods i could do?

Lowering is actually quite cheap. You can get a set of Ta Techniks (spelling ) coilovers for 200 quid. I aint the person to ask about that as I dont have a set. You can also get a suspension kit from them aswell.
Someone else maybe able to help you further. I will keep an eye on it in interest as I might be upgrading to coilovers soon.

Thought i would give a auick update on my poor poor MK2
Recently it has been chuckin loads of black smoke out the exhaust when accelerating hard, spoke to my mechanic and he says its buring loads of oil up and has basically f**ked up the piston rings.
Instead of trying to sort the engine out my mechanic sed he would chuck me another Ibiza MK2 1.4S engine in for free!
Having it changed 2mora so fingers crossed after its had the transplant there wont be anymore major problems
Unfortunalty with the car goin wrong i havent had chance to mod it at all, due to me savin up money to sort it out, but all goin well with the engine change that means modding time
thinkin of having a straight through pipe on the exhaust but i heard this mite mean it will take up loads more fuel and sound ridicoulusly loud, can any1 tel me if the taking up more fuel part is tru?
Anywayz thats it for now, i ll keep you posted on if the engine swap was a success lol

Just make sure you update the V5 and tell your insurance company, I'm sure that will use up some of the money you didn't need to spend on the engine swap!

lower it.. standard ibizas always seem to sit high to me. if your not to fussed then a set of springs 60-40 would probably be alrite on standard shocks for a while ( i know people that have done this for years, others have knackerd shocks in 6 months or so )
i put weitecs on mine springs and shocks £300 ish from awsome Gti.
other mods are the smoked side repeaters they do make a difference i think.
any cupra bits, front splitter £17
side skirts, expensive but could get some used on ebay maybe
Cupra boot trim, its reflective rather than the black.
some people dewiper the rear.
a beesting, standard ariels seem to be really long to me.
interior id change the gear knob, had 2 know and on this one ive put a little momo, feels nicer and makes the gearchange throw shorter.
engine wise a panel filter like green cotton is about all you can do. might help with mpg as well.

I've got a 1.4 mk2 as some of you may know (and yes, it has got 5 doors!)
I've wanted to lower it since i fitted some 17 inch alloys. But I wasn't sure about spending £500ish on a coilover kit for it, plus the labor at my local garage.
I just had a little look on ebay and came across these....

Obviously they're not a leading brand like spax ori Pi, so will they be any good?!

When I got my lowering kit fitted it cost me 90 quid. That included laser alignment and camber checked etc.
