those people who have removed the carbon canister, is there a way to stop the fault code ? i have removed and keep getting tank vent open fault, would be good to turn it off !

Mine's just got the pipe plugged at the moment.

I thought better of this - pressure in the tank. I've now piped into the wing.

Mines as i've posted above. Zero problems or smells in my car.

I've used a resistor as well which helps but isnt 100% right.
Same here.

I haven't managed to stop the occasional evap code on my Leon.

sorry to bring this back up but anyone that has removed the sensor and tank fancy selling me their sensor?? obviously only the ppl who dont have it connected anymore?

Obviously, but i thought that was common sense really, you wouldnt want to leave an open connection causing a boost/vac leak.

lol yup... just some people dont know which ones to block off and which ones to keep etc. thats why pics would be better... even tho i think there is some pics i managed to find some when i searched i think

Still need to know which pipes to take off and which to blank off with or without pictures. From my guessing if we removed all the pipes from the TIP to the carbon Canistor then all we'd need to blank would be the one on the throttle body. So which pipe do we need to run down into the wing ect...

Ive left it unpluged atm but i think phil was on the case of finding out what resistor we have to use so il leave it off until then i think. Got engine managment light on but i know whats its for so its all good lol

I cant for the life of me remember the resistor i got on it at the moment. The CEL i've noticed only comes on when you've been idling for a while.

I think there's a certain condition when the ecu decides it's going to vent the tank and burn off the fumes. (for instance motorway run, then your standing idling at the top of the slip road off) I reckon it tries to run the sec air at the same time to mix.........
