I just run an extended vac line down into the front arch behind the bumper and never notice any smell in the cabin, and I've left the N80 sensor plugged in but extended the wiring to hide it in the scuttle tray.
If you unplug it you'll get an EML
Even plugged in after idling for a while it will throw a EML.
Ive tried a 33ohm 50 resistor, plugged in, raising idle RPM and it always comes on after reaching running temperature then idling.
Ill try and work it out soon with the electronics boys in work.
Someone needs to get to the bottom of this now to find out what resistor is needed. If you could do that Tom that would be great.
My light seems to come on after driving it then stopping and idling, like waiting in traffic.
It was the same for me Phil but I just got it mapped out by Bill in the end. Problem solved
