Hi guys,
I am a newbie too, been having problems with power cut off after shifting in 2nd and 3rd, and someone recommended a new dump valve.
Is it easy to fit? Having absolutely no mechanical experience, due to driving fleet cars for years!
Cheers

Hmm I wonder if mine is at fault then.. To be honest I hadn't noticed any problems but I took someone for a drive the other day and he commented that the power dropped off between gear changes.

Is there any way to tell? Does it throw up a fault code if it's knackered?

ive had check dv warnings (leak/pressure loss) logged on the ecu without it triggering the dashboard warning so i doubt it would.

yes if set up right and is still not very loud at all ( even with my big turbo ) and lag between gears is just stupid .... stick to the 007 for performance.

Hi everyone....i recently purchased a forge Atmospheric dump valve for my Leon FR 2.0 FR TFsi, and i had it shipped here in dubai. I emailed Forge since i was asking for their help re BOV's ( i just wanted the wooosh sound) and they quickly replied and I was advised by the forge people to get this particular item,

Is it safe to use? will it screw up my car? pls help... im thinking of postponing the install of the valve

Different car, different valve (the setup on the 2.0T is different from the 1.8T), there's no reason to worry.

Im planning on fitting 007p d/v on my completely standard cupra, with a green replacement filter....good plan?

Would prefer to look completely standard but get a deeper sound/whoosh!

You wont get a massive external sound difference with a 007P because they are re-circ valves.

If you're looking for the "Jap DV sound" think about the Bailey DV (i think DV26???) as this is more auidible.

What you will get is a "Darth Vader" in your glovebox!

The Forge unit is used by a large majority of the SCN people, and is 100% tried & tested!

If you want street sleeper go 007P, if you want a bit more noise try the Bailey, and if you want Jap sound then think about the Forge Split-R

your in the wrong section dude, this is mk1 1.8 20 valve turbos not the 2.0 tfsi so i think you will be slow on getting info, you wanna be in mk2. From what i understand though the 2.0 is similar to the 1.8 in the way that a atmospheric dump valve will not work, it has to be a recirculation valve, which takes the air and dumps it back into the inlet rather than to atmosphere, that way the car wont chuck the EML or start running lean/rich. Forge are your best bet and i beleive the valve you want is a revision something or other. if you want the woosh sound your gonna need to run and open cone intake otherwise the sound is muffled by the airbox, also to amplify it remove the bonnet liner. hope this helps a little
