Me mate also came round and chucked a JBL sub and amp and a sony headunit at me so i got them fitted aswell. Muchos loudness:D

Looks great mate...nice n shiney.

I really need to clay my car. There's so much crap stuck to the paint. I think i might try Turtle Wax Ice after, it's got some good reviews

Do it I did this for the first time a few weeks ago and I was so pleased with the results and the smooth as glass feel nothing else can clean that well. Bet you are tired after doing that red rum I was shattered and husr the next day but felt pleased when parked next to everyone else minging cars!

Having trouble getting mine up to shinyness i guess being silver it might be harder...i used turtle wax and polish to not much effect, whats this clay??

That is so impressive, like a mirror. I've never heard of clay but will following this up. My partner laughed at me but I knew I'd find useful information joining a car forum.

it looks like white tak and feels the same it comes with a spray to keep the area wet and you push it on and across the paint and it takes off all the crap you can't get to with a sponge, then wax over the top feels soooo smooth!

Thats the fella. I just use a old rag first, then a clean old rag for the polish then a detailing cloth for buffing it up and getting it shiny.

!!

love the last pic - the reflection actually makes the view better - lol

nice work.

I think he mean's sponges are cr@p, which they are. If your going to use sponges you may aswell use a brillo pad lol. Get a sheepskin mit or something similar;)

ah right I see! Duh sorry silly me! I don't have a sponge I have a mit anyways, was just talking in general didn't really think about it.
The only problem when you spend a good few hours doing this is you then know every scratch on the paintwork, I have to get my stone chips and other peoples door opening mark sorted out then get somone to detail mine one day.
