i doubt most members find the ecomotive apealling here, i could be stereotyping though...

I wouldn't waste my money on an Ecomotive.Over priced, slow, poor gear ratios, skinny tyres=poor handling, waste of money. All so you can save the planet and get a few more mpg.Money would be far better spent on an FR TDI.

seems like you've missed the point really...

long gearing to sip as little fuel as you need to, once you're up to speed.

IMO, it's the ideal motorway car (if you can live with build/comfort issues)

it's not a 'sporty car' but then I never recall seeing that in the marketing blurb for it.

:) I just think the FR is better value, more fun, still brill mpg, more toys, doesn't cost much more for insurance, better looking.
I realise some people want to do their bit for the planet, and save a few bob on fuel, but frankly,i don't buy into most of that nonsense. If they made an Ecomotive that was as good fun as a 130 Sport/FR,i'd buy it.
Still to see a single Ecomotive on the road.

Got an Ecomotive

Bought it to replce my old tired workhorse Ibiza. More impressed with it than expected to be - zips along pretty well - just done a trip to Nantes in France in it (1300 miles round trip) - 2 tanks of fuel and some to spare - good ride on the motorways - just a shame I missed the 0% deal.

but then you would get less MPG, but they still wouldnt have to pay any tax!

Can't really understand why the Seat does't have alloys - the Polo Blue motion does

I was told by seat that if you put on 15" alloys then you will loose roughly 2miles to the gallon which makes it 86.3 instead of 88.3.
I will post some pics and a mini review of it when i get it. Got it on the 0% too.
