Engine Mounts

Yo yo, well I seem to have clean cut off the drivers side engine mount, anyone else had this problem in the past? Easy fix? Whats needed for the job? Word.

Should be just a case of
1. Remove under tray.
2. Loosen all engine mounts near it to allow the engine some moving room.
3. Jack up the engine to clear the mounting.
4. Remove and refit new mounting.
5. Tighten and torque up all mounts.

The preferable way however would be to use ramps to lift the car and hold the mounting bracket with a hoist and raise the engine by lowering the car.

Isn't that the mount that needs undoing to change the cam-belt?! 2 birds with one stone maybe!?

Having seen that mount on the Leon, if the Ibiza one is as much of a pain to get to / at ... i'd definitely want ramps!

Like I have a undertray Ed! I see your point whilst doing that. Any idea on pricing, and dont guess like you did on the way back from Pod! I want facts yo!

Edit: Looking at GSF and Euro Car Parts, the standard price is £30ish but non are for the ASZ - You're probably looking at more £40 dealer price.

I snapped a mount chasing him up the dronny bypass in the cordy, must just be him!

All im saying is I parked it up after all my runs and it was fine... then EdButler got in it to do just ONE run and when I got back in the engine mount had gone

Nahhhh, looking back think its been going awhile and the pod finished it off!
