just been and measured the thickness of the 312mm discs andthey are 28mm approx. Do you think they will be ok for the Porsche calipers?
Anything will fit with enough work, by the sounds if you got the calipers and carriers that had been on a VAG car then it should bolt on - it's just a matter of working out what discs you need. Might be a bit of trial and error and a couple of fitting runs to see.
Mike seems to want to build everything around his discs, which is a little strange to me.

Not so strange, it's what I did - 312mm discs are not expensive and although i've not got the stopping power of someone with 345mm discs and 6 pot calipers - i've a decent upgrade over 312mm discs and single pot OE calipers .... almost on a braking par with the factory Brembos on the LCR.
For what Mike has paid so far, if he can this plumbed together with 312mm discs ( his existing ones) he's got a healthy braking upgrade for comparitive pennies.

Yeah my original 312mm setup only set me back a couple of hundred quid. I got the porsche calipers and carriers for 250 delivered. My 312mm discs are brand new so obviously I don't want to shell out for more. I have also just spent the best part of a grand on suspension upgrades so I'm trying to save money where I can.

Just thinking about the calipers Pat, and have just been haing a look at the pics you took of refurbing them. I dunno if I want to go red with mine, but are the stencils you used only available in the states and Canada? I have seen a few on ebay etc but a bit unsure.

We all would like to do this, all I was doing was stating your angle on the upgrade was very different to others angles

Yeah I understand where you are coming from, I just want the best for my car that my already stretched budget can manage hahahaha. At the end of the day, Im hitting the car shows next year, got a good taste with SFS this year and have a list of things I want a mile long (along with everyone on here hehe).
The discs I have on are pretty new, and exactly what I wanted, so was hoping I could get the Porsche calipers onto them. Been reading a few threads on here and it seems that 28mm width should be ok. I think!

haha i just want to have a bit of a laugh at the shows, im not competitive with cars, I just know what I like

Mine are standard Cupra 312mm discs - think that's 28mm thick? Stencils can be made easily enough - i got mine from Rennsport

had a look at Rennsport, how long did delivery take?
i dunno whether to leave them black (they look in good condition in the pics) or go red

what do you mean?
They need the seat end 1 end and the porsche the other. Shouldnt they have to be custom made? I emailed Awesome but they only sell their porsche/seat pipes as part of the pipe/carrier kit

Take your car and caliper to a hose manufacturer, remove the fitting at the car side and ask the guys what fittings these are and if they can make a hose for it for you
