My new Nokia works with the SEAT Bluetooth system, meaning that my original pressumption, namely that Nokia had updated their software, was correct.

My Nokia E71 works perfectly. As a result of this, I would assume that the Nokia N96 will also work.

interesting i thought that the e71 wouldnt work, happy days that it does, none of the new 'N' series will work though i.e no phone numbers transfered

Well I was as suprised as you to be honest! I called Irfan the other day to ask and was told that the Symbian software is the issue, but my E71 works fine, and it uploaded my contacts yesterday.

Must be noted though, that the SEAT system will only upload 300 numbers into its memory, or its temporary memory - I have 482 contacts so slightly irritating, but it was the same with my previous three phones.

yeah i have a nokia n95 and a nokia 8600 luna working fine with the factory fitted bluetooth, i can read my contacts, missed called dialed numbers etc :S

Was wondering if the N95 has been updated recently, there is a software update for my E90 and I was wondering if this functionlaity is inlcuded.

I too have an N95, which does not work with the car kit....there is a new firmware out recently (V30.0.018) What did you have to do to get your phonebook displayed etc?

Thanks, I have upgtaded my E90 and NO it does not work wiht the bluetooth and phone book:( Can I ask...please check and see what the seat UHV is recognised as. MIne says audio device which will mean that it wont assign car kit functionality I assume.

Mine is set as an audio device, but my phone is substantially newer than the N95 and E90.

Perhaps the N96 will work.

i just set it up as normal, paired the phone, chose the option to look at adress book and it said please wait and then my numbers appeared in the display

and also mine is paired as SEAT_UHV and it pairs up auto when ever i sit in the car

Thanks Chaps. Well at least there is hope for a future communicator to be usable in a Seat.

Interesting. Out of the box the 6220 'Classic' doesn't work properly, but I might go on a hunt for new firmware, as I thought it ran on largely the same OS as the N95 and E71. I'd like to be able to make it work, it's a pain.

Anybody know if this phone can be made to work?

Rob

Hi guys, I have the Nokia N96 with the latest (allegedly!!) software and unfortunately the phonebook will still not upload to the bluetooth in the car. You can make calls through it ok but no phonebook comes up so still stumped... any more ideas please anyone...

My phone is up for renewal next month so won't be buying the N96 then. I have the N95 and emailed Nokia a few times about the software only to be told they work with all Nokia car kits, so looks like some other phone for me then.

I think we need to get the E71 SW and see what the difference is...

Is there any way I can help with providing the software from my phone at all, or at least the version number from my E71?
