Dont bother re-upholstering the standard seats cos they're poop! I have a set of cupra seat in my for sale section. (check my sig)

well my aim is to get all of it in the shape is "close-ish" haha or i might take the lights out of that frame/light and pop them into a seat frame thing

you would be better getting the whole headlight unit, making it fit, then using either plastic and plastic welding a few shapes in place to make it look more 'standard'. would be very unique if you did though!
okies! i will have to trust you on it haha! whole hed unit it is! i can see them being pretty expensive tho imo so that mod might take a while haha, going to start with the cheaper mods right not eg: shark fin, aero wipers, vibe writing on back and scrape off that horrible grey stuff on the inside handle! what is with that stuff!

are you sure you wanna do all this? I am afraid of the outcome. And even more that you, as others before you have, will spend so much money on this car, and in the end its still a 1.4. And with the money spent a proper fast, good looking car could have been bought.
I am not saying get a cupra (althought it is an option ) but you should think about this if you haven't already

well im an 18 year old student so i havnt really got the money to buy a cupra (wish i did)
plus insurance is a massive bugger (tard with the boy racer brush cause im 18) and 1.4 is big enough for me i never really drive anywhere with much speed or that far for that matter and its already a good looking car i just want to be able to say "look, look what i have created and made my own" so am i sure i wana do all this? Hell yeah

but people have also said this to me about my car.. i know i could have got a cupra by now and after spending nearly 2K on my 1.4 i think its great, since i have had it since i was 19 and am now 22 my insurance has gone down from £1200 to £384 (with all mods declared).
now im ready to move on to a faster better looking car, and yes i COULD have saved my money and got a better car earlier but, while my 1.4 is in my possesion, i made it 'mine'..
like how many 1.4's have a cupra R interior with electric / heated wing mirrors, or has custom sill plates, or has other custom driving lights in the bumpers.. yes i could have saved the money but i have loved the ownership of my car and dont really regret anything. Yes it would be nice to get soem of the money back from the mods but i know it wont happen.

haha WOW 1200 to 384! that awesome! i guess the 1.4 mk3 seat ibizas have something about them that makes everyone who owns one love them to peices even tho they can be a pain (hence the massive "you knowyou own a mk3 seat ibiza when..." thread going on haha!) but we all love them! dont plan on getting rid of mine till its old and dieing and even then i will keep it going till its last days Wisey
wisey. i felt the same about you, about keeping my baby untill she was old and dead, but the problem is, now im alot more experianced in driving (taking loads of driver training courses) i feel the 1.4 ibiza is too slow to be 'safe'.
after driving around 2.0 litre turbo astra's, old 308 ferrari's, honda S2000's, Ultima GTR's on driver courses and private land. i find that the acceleration is to slow to make safe overtaking on country roads, and getting out of hazzardous situations is very difficult for the little 1.4 engine. i love what i have done to the car, i just wish it was easier and cheaper to change / upgrade the engine.

i agree with that 1! it does take a while to build up some speed dont it
BUT i recon with a bigger air intake it would be 100 times better i never over take anyway so that doesnt bother me all to much but that list of cars is very nice! you know you said about making money back off your mods.....are those 16 inch cupra alloys

on my first post on page 1 i got 3 pics they were taken soon as i got tho (not although theres much difference apart from i took rear mud flaps off (front ones going off 2 m and the garage stick on window is off lol)
