brakes rubbing? in fairness i have never seen amazing MPG from my derv, but i enjoy it... however low 30's... does seem quite bad.
ive get about 300 a tank out of my 1.2, even if im careful it hardly makes any difference 
does anybody else get this with the 1.2?

I feel your pain, 350 if I really squeeze it.
I do put V-Power in it though, which is supposed to burn very readily versus standard Shell at least.

Pushing it I get about 260, but taking it steady can get around 300... which is still a bit naff since I bought the small engine model for its economy!!! Used to get that in my 11 year old 1.4 Almera...
Shoulda bought a diesel
my 20vt normally does better than that 
my fule light has just come on at 300 miles so will see 350 to this tank, thats because i have been driving like i have stole to car on this tank lol, why have an FR and drive like its a 1.0? lol

With every day driving a get about 180 to 20L's of fuel. Motorway driving il see 200 easy enuf.
Guess id be looking at 400 on a full tank.

I must be doing something wrong then. Moste I have ever got out of a tank is about 240-245 in my 1.8 20VT..
That is mainly A3 cruising at 70mph though (although I do have to go through the Hindhead tunnel roadworks twice a day) Would be a lot less if it was town driving or using the FRs full potential!
Get an Ecomotive. Mine runs on fresh air! Had about £120 in it and i got 1107 miles from it brand new and its still got over half a tank in now so i will be getting more than 1107 miles for £120.

I would like more MPG sometimes but I want the grin-factor too. I think the next car I buy will be a hot-diesel to get the best of both worlds. Saying that... petrol has plummeted in price now (91.9p in my local garage) so I'm not as bothered as I was a few months ago
Might even give Super Unleaded a go for a bit!
