I just put in a new 1.8T fuel filter before it went to JBS, so much bigger then my 1.4fsi one!
Arrow on the filter facing towards the engine.

I get 13.5V on idle at the 044 terminals, What I did was use my existing fuel pump power wire for the 044 aswell, so they prime together... well they did untill the other day, now sometimes I only hear the intake pump prime! Its so weird, but once the cars on u can hear the 044 again.

Physically check fuel pressure.... Guess the only way is with a inline pressure gauge?

Im going to do that tomorrow and also move the pump to the back, I'll find somewhere to mount it!

The lift pump im using is either the 180bhp or S3 pump, I know that much because its defo from a quattro, got the extra pipe and wires but never confirmed which one it is by checking part numbers yet.

Did a log yesterday in third and 4th, still couldnt get to over 7k:censored::censored:

But results look better, I'm sure the car runs better now with the gear judge setup properly!

It was holding boost fine to 6500 i think. Only it was backing off again after a hard run, either the ECU (TB) or Solenoid trying to control the boost i'm sure... maybe becuase I was getting too much boost again.
It was the same issue, floor it and boost goes up down up down..

I logged group 31, for A/Fs.

Boost is requested at 1.5bar thank god! And Since sorting the gear judge I get 100% throttle at high revs also, just at midrange the ECU is adjusting..

Still need to move the pump to the back but no space after putting in the massive fuel filter!
Anyone got ideas where I can mount it?

If it's still surging, then lower the feeback value for that gear and/or subtract from the start duty setting in 5% increments.

VAG-COM should be able to save logs as .csv files which can be opened in excel.

So how did everything pan out in the end mate, i this all ok now?

Quick question, is GT30 over a GT28 involve more work ? Or is it practically the same steps?

Dyno results

Hi guys, just got back from holiday yesterday night, thanks for your help and comments every1.
Took my car to AMD Technik today to get my KW V3's fitted and decided to take it on the rollers for a power run....:D


Here are the results:

It made 453bhp @ 6349rpm & 374lb/ft @ 6349rpm!! :happy:

The Torque and BHP keeps rising!
I love the torque its just keeps building!

I setup the AVCR with my new 1bar spring and it was running 1.5bar with no boost spike.

They took it to 6k first then 6.4k but didnt go past it as they didnt know my rev limit... wonder what it would be at 7.5k:whistle:

We was going to do one more run once I got there to 7.5k but I decided not to run it again.

All in all a great but tiring day.. AMD are great ppl and the V3's are great!
I have never felt that much pull in 2nd gear ever in my car, Its transformed the car totally.

:D Just waiting for the right weather... have alot of leicester ppl trying to arrange a drag race with me down our 'mad mile' we have here, got an R8 waiting for me, should be interesting!

3076 is alot more top end power will be crazy with your 4wl drive!
On that run I didnt have my 1.9bar spike or hold 1.7bar to redline it was just flat 1.5bar, still got good spool due to the inlet/exhaust manifolds, I defo recommend u get them if u havent allready, compared to other gt30 setups i've seen im running less boost but making the same power :funk:

Cant wait to see yours at pod!

No it was 1.55bar:D...... unless amd ran more boost on the dyno which I dont know about, or it hit more boost on the rollers, but i doubt that could happen on both runs!
On the road its peaks and holds MAX 1.55bar..

Do you guys mean I must be running more boost to make those figures? anything more boost near redline and your out the effiency range of the turbo?!

i'm not far from you mate.15mins
We've run 2 bar flat on a gt3071R and it only made 450/460 mate on a 2l evo engine with cams etc!
Still must be quick in a polo! Get it on some decent rollers,DD ideally.
