Ah ok, yeh i wouldnt drive it at all. You tired calling the AA or RAC is your a member? Cant hurt them having a look at it. Prob wouldnt be able to fix it but they could diagnose it!

I was thinking of ringing them but i heard that they won't come out if you close to your house (out side in my case)

What about ringing my insurance company? accidental damage.. worth a try?

drive it round the block, the damage is done just by running it, thing is if alot of water gets in the cylinders, the engine aint gonna start again

how did you test the coils? testing for spark? have you changed the plugs?

What good do you think driving it around the block will do? i'm scared of totally wrecking the engine mate! I'm sure you understand the love i have for my car.. and my bank balance :(

Ive checked the coils by buying a new one and replacing each one individually and it made no diffrnece what so ever - ive replaced plugs.

So now call the AA or find a garage who will help before this gets worse and more expensive. It doesn't sound like you're going to fix this and replacing random parts is just bonkers..

Ive arranged the garage to come and pick it up Monday, i won't be doing anything else. Ive not really been replacing random parts to be fair.

Does anyone have any ideas how much it will cost to fix/replace bent con rod 's ?
