Its pretty easy. Just 4 holes to be drilled and that is it.
Just mark the holes and align them. Drill the holes in the console and then screw in.

Didn't fancy drilling holes in the centre console, just attached mine with heavy duty double sided tape, the type for number plates & badges.
It's fixed really well, no movement at all, plus if i do decide to remove it there's no signs of it being there apart from removing the glue marks.

Fitted armrest in mine which is an original item from seremotors.just aligned it over centre console,pencil marked then drilled holes.figured that i will never be removing it again.

The armrest will line up easliy over the cup holders.
Make sure it's sitting nice and flat and true.
Mark the 5 holes to be drilled with a scribe or pencil.
Remove the armrest and carefully drill the holes.
(I used a 2.5mm drill bit)
Replace the armrest in situ.
Use the self tapers supplied with the armrest and secure it to the centre console.
Place the rubber insert over the cut out and hey presto

seems to be one of the first and most popular additions, but yet to see what one looks like fitted anyone have a pic??
Dave Mac makes a really important point there... the self adhesive foam pad is the only really tricky part, - patience Anakin, patience !
Thanks for advice good to see seremotors is in NI so handy enough for me to mail order without incurring drastic carriage rates from UK also looks like the double sided sticky route is one to follow if changing motor any time in the future and wanting to take precious armrest with you

picked up the armrest. thought about the adhesive route of attaching it but on the drive home the left elbow was so much happier being out of the cup holder I too agreed I was never going to remove it. drill came out and it really is easy peasy, although it did feel wrong attacking my six month old car in such a way. completely messed up to adhesive screw cover but never mind. great addition to car and save some money and fit it yourself
And don't put it in between the centre console and armrest and have exposed screws inside the armrest
(just as well I'm keeping the car for a few more years )Similar threads
