dah... guy from waywell only accepts paypal :( guess that's no unit for me :(
as for HDD someone mentioned, I think that ipod interface can be used as plain USB...
h/w architecture supports it, just someone needs to try...

Try this company i think its the same unit, or very similar.

i am phoning him back this week, the chap on the phoned reckoned he could do it for £250 with no software and £15 for a camera.

You are right it is a very similar unit, uk based seller, 30 day return, 1 year warranty, no real return costs and no import taxes.
If he will do it for £250 I'm having one, I'll go and pick it up from Liverpool aswell.

The only thing that i didnt like the sound of was the ordering (upto 2 weeks delivery), now i must admit i forgot to ask, did he expect the full money or a deposit.

I havent checked the company out yet either. Things that sound too good worry me.

Hopefully should be fine

What a price. Maybe you should try and arrange a group buy. See what price we can get it down too? SOmeone could go up to the company and review the product aswell.

Also what is the difference between a few of the products. 3 of them say they are for the seat, but all different prices, wonder what the difference is.

different model, the latest is the d726

the guy was checking if it would interface with the bluetooth modules

They are a company call auctions2you based in liverpool

Bank Details

BANK: HSBC
NAME: AUCTIONS2YOU
IBAN: GB50MIDL40122631661752
SWIFT: MIDLGB22
ADDRESS: BOOTLE, LIVERPOOL, UK

They are a power seller on ebay, although this is not the car audio stuff, with 1113 items and a 98.7% rating. (The phone numbers match up for both companies)

So really no reason to think they are dodgy.

Thanks for the info 13snc, what were the first 4 pictures about ?

It's funny you mention the phonebook, the main reason I'm looking at a new unit is for the handfree dialing (I've not got factory fitted) It's not much use to me without the phonebook as dialing will still be a pain and have to involve the phone. The WD6050 has the phonebook but I've yet to establish if the D736 has or not.

Is there any news on the guy doing it for £250 yet? Also thats a reason why i want the unit is to have a phonebook in it. WOnder if it does?

Just spoke to the guy, he say that their is a canbus conection for stering wheel controls, but the system will not show caller information on the center dash display.

And it does not show a phone book on the head unit. He says that they are updating software all the time and it will probably come on future realeases

So close but yet so far from being a perfect cheap alternative for the mfd3

if everyone emails him and witson, we could possibly help speed up the development process.

Still a very good price for the unit

I know if I didnt already have an RNS510 I would be looking at one of these very closely, looks like a real bargain, which usually means there is a compromise somewhere but then again I didnt pay £1,600 or even anywhere near £1,000 for my unit so I already got a bargain. From what ive seen in other threads its hard to get a factory unit at the moment and if you can get one the exchange rate makes it very costly so I sincerely hope you guys can sort out these alternatives and get hold of them for prices quoted..... Good Luck!
p.s. if you look on the RNS-510 fitting post you will find all the dealer numbers for the fascia and the screws and clips you need to fit it!
