My passenger side window hasn't worked for a while now (over 2 months!), Ive dissconnected the buttons so they can't be pressed acidently (like i did and had to drive about 10miles with the window open about 1inch at about 2deg!)

So, the window does go up and down but not fully, it will sometimes move a few inches, other times it will move most of the way. Ive not been able to get it to go all the way to the top or bottom yet.

What is this likely to be? Regulator?

take your regulator out and have a look to see if your cables frayed im 99% sure thats whats u with it from what ya described

does the glass move freely in the rubbers itself on it's own ?

if it is hitting anything or sticking at all the motor will stop as part of the safety

I think it moves freely enough, as I have had to take the door card off the push the glass up to the top for inside the door

my passenger window used to go down when the door was fully open. turned out it was the cables in the rubber copex between the door! if its any help?

I know the wires are fine, no difference if the door is open or closed.

So does it sound like the regulator needs replacing then?

take it out and test it just put a block of wood in thw window to hold it up then oprerte the switches and see where the motos gettin stuck

Update, stripped the door down today to have a look and the regulator seems fine. The window goes down fine, but struggles going up.

Heres a vid to help

Motor replacement then?

anyone?

Has anyone replaced the regulator them selves? Looking at ones on eBay and it looks like the motor comes with them, so would be easier to just buy the whole lot as its only £10 difference

i changed mine its easy to do you just need one person to hold the glass for ya

you are probally better off buying a new one

Sweet, as looking on eBay, you can get the whole regulator and motor for £60 or just motor for £50

kinda weird that but just get it orded and if ya think ya gona struglle fitting it bring it to the derby meet and il give ya hand :D

Bought a new one off eBay, seller contacted me to check its the right one and it wasn't :( It was the 2 or 3pin version (basic up down window) but mine has the comfort option which stops the window if something is in the way (ie hand or face) so its £112 not £60 [:@] Just going to have to save a little longer!
