Want to get the car lowered and was wondering what set ups people are running.
I have been steered away from the Koni, eibach set up and have been looking at the offer AMD Essex have on the AP coilovers which are supposed to be the same as Weitec but for a lot less but still part of KW.
Would love the KW's but don't have the money. Looking at a 40mm drop I reckon to get the arches filled so springs alone are not really an option. Are there any other spring and shock set ups that people have as I am not convinced that I need coilovers. Would like to do the odd track day and planning a trip to the ring later in the year.

thought about ap coilovers...i'd say coilovers if you do a lot of track days but nothing wrong with just eibach springs!

I have the Koni FSD and Eibach Pro Springs on mine but you have said that you have been steered away from that combination how come?
I suppose you could do the Konis and the Eibach Sportlines if you want a bigger drop?

i'm running a kw v1 setup with eibach anti-roll bars. had it dropped 40mm then lifted 5mm. but the car has now settled back to 40mm drop height. I'd be careful with cheap coilovers as their have been some negative reviews about them corroding much quicker than expected. there's a basic stainless steel or inox stainless steel. i went for inox for an extra 50quid after the recent grit and salt on roads, a simple rinse ges them shining again.
imo kw's are expensive, but you are paying for quality.

IIRC he said that there were a lot of leaky shocks and something else but will have to look it up in my pm box on DW.

That's 1 for the AP's then. Was worried they may be too harsh. Has anyone with a Mk2 got these?
