I sold my PD130 last year as most on here would know about it. It was running a hybrid turbo and Allard FMIC 220bhp. I keep in contact with the guy who now owns it. Lately the car was running bad and was eventually tracked down to leaking boost. Turned out to be the Allard FMIC. It was full of pinholes all over and a split on one of the welds at the side of the core. The FMIC is only 4 years old  Great workmanship.

I've heard a few bad reports of Allards products - mainly on the turbo chargers though. Shame - as they do seem to know their stuff from what I've read also, but its no good if the kit is crap.

that's a bit of a rush to judgement:lol: my Allard intercooler is still going strong after 11 years, it also protected the middle of the radiator from something so corrosive it rotted each end and had to be replaced about 5years ago, I think I've had my money's worth:)

Who am i judging? I'm talking about my intercooler no one elses:lol: However maybe over the years they decided to use cheaper materials;)

My fabia FMIC from Allard is still structurally sound after 4.5 years, but it definitely has lost all its lustre and looks pretty mank. Not sure whether it will clean up. Eventually I'll do some research and get a new core made up to my spec.

All ok with my Allard FMIC and hybrid tubo phase 3 after 4 years and 55k miles plus numerous uk track days and 15 nurburgring trips:) Must of had a bad FMIC (it can happen)
