I've noticed a lot of people put fabia rear wipers on there leons what is the differance? thanks, paul.

I've got this and its a nice, cheap and easy mod that takes no time at all. I think the main reason it gets done is that it looks much much nicer. The standard one looks cheap and nasty and the fabia one looks alot more solid and compliments the lines of the Leon. The other reason, and i dont know if it happened with anyone else, is that the spring in the standard one was utter toilet and streaked my window whenever i used it regardless of how new the blade was. the Fabia wiber arm seems alot stronger and made an immidiate difference.

It's far nicer looking than the OEM Seat one and it doesn't judder all the time - unlike the OEM one. For the price just buy one and fit it in 10mins :D

Found this on ebay, Seems quite good price.

I cant post a URL, but if u search for "SKODA FABIA REAR WIPER ARM SEAT LEON CONVERSION KIT"
that should give u it.

£23 posted. :) :)

i got it all in from a place called TPS in coventry for 16 quid!! .. honestly though c4mbl its a quality mod, wipers excellent, no streaking, and doesnt look tacky like the old one. very sturdy and robust.

Yeh it seems like a great, cheap mod thats actually worthwhile.
I think il probably go for one of them, although my rear wiper doesnt judder, For now!! :p

thats the one i've ordered.

if you order one, make sure its the Estate version NOT the hatch back version, because it is too short, and misseds about an inch and a half off..... not the end of the world.... but still.... doesn't clean as well as it should...

I have done this mod... very cheap, very easy... much much better aesthetics...

Do you have a Skoda dealer near you? It cheaper to buy direct from Skoda than it is from ebay. I was £17 for the whole kit - exactly what is included in the ebay auction.

As people have said already, the difference is immediate, the fabia wiper works so much better than the standard Seat one.

Have a look in the guides section, there is a list of part numbers and a talk through of how to remove the old wiper and fit the new one.

Took the cover and bolt off standard arm, the thing won't shift. Don't want to knacker the spindle - any advice ?

WD40 and a lot of patience. Took me around ten minutes of carefully rocking the arm and spraying to get the thing off. It will eventually come loose.
