I don't know about cheap, but it might be worth speaking to Bill at Badger 5? I've got all my replacement braking stuff from him, and he supplies quality items at good prices with good customer service. Just a thought. :)

I got my DS2500 pads off Bill, top quality pads there are too. I got my discs off ebay (look for leon/TT 312mm discs), got front and rear drilled and grooved discs for £150.

i don't think discs for my 1.1 saxo were that cheap!

The DS2500 pads are what AP racing supply with there calipers and are suppose to be good performers all temperatures. So they should be pretty awesome.

They are very good, they bite well from cold to hot temps. Around the same price as the ones the dealers will sell you too.

In my limited experience of buying aftermarket brake discs for VAG cars, I've only bought and fitted and used 4 complete sets, I've found that ECP and/or GSF supplied discs, well in my case ATE ones, are both extremely cheap and quite satisfactory. You can always go and get Brembos and spent some more money - but do they use distinctly better material, machine to tighter tolerances and check for stress and cracks any more than ATE or the manufacturer listed by the OP, one thing, I thought that Jurid was the item of choice if ATE was not used and you wished to stick to roughly OEM!

Edit, it could be that silly Sh**roen includes hub and maybe bearings in their brake discs - just a thought based on facts!

right i have spoken to Bill and got his prices and spoken to euro car parts.

Bill wants £63.51 / pair
Euro want £50.00 / pair

as i need rears as well Bills total comes in at £214:20 including delivery.

Damo what ones did you get on Ebay?

i would prefer Gooved but Bill is a bit to expensive for the Grooved stuff (above is all solid faces)

Just my extra two pence worth, for normaly useage I'd think that you could give the grooved discs a miss, I've got them fitted to the front of my Passat as it has rear mounted front callipers - and this set-up is prone to wet weather wash-out, as your are front mounted, the callipers should get protection from water from the wheel.

really.. 6 sounds promising.... i dont think ill get them up to high enough temp for day to day use to warrent 40 grooves plus obviously reduces friction.

6 to 10 would be ideal for when i track it occassionally

thanks ill go have a look over there webby
