Canonman, i get the feeling you're missing the point a bit, it's not about how good the engine is or what things will be like in 3 years time... The crux of the matter is that SEAT are changing the car, and it's not the customers choice, so why should the customer pay? Yes there are benifits, but it's more a matter of principle...
I just spoke to my
dealer and he had little news for me, but will be speaking to Spain on monday and getting back to me by Tuesday with some news. He said that i should get the 1.9 not tthe 1.6, and that the 1.6 wasn't replacing the 1.9 just adding more diesels to the smaller car range to match the peetrol options, because diesels in smaller cars are becoming more popoular.
I'd imagine they might eventually release a 1.9 TDi CR probably pushing 130/140PS to give a diesel line up of:
1.4 PD- 80 PS
1.6 TDi CR - 105 PS
1.9 TDi CR - 130 PS
