thanks for the comments,

not found a boot switch yet either, but i havnt really got round to that anyway, ill let you know if i find one.

i run it low to try to proove a point that air is not always the answer, fair play if you have it but as you can see it still drives, and its not a garage queen either,

the handle lights are in the handle itself, ill post some pics up when i get back from germany so people can see how its done and copy it for themselves, as imo think its very trick at night.

loads more planned so keep an eye out for hopefully some more firsts on the leon

Regards

I would love to drive mine as low as yours without air as i wanted to go coilover option but mine is a daily drive and with coilovers i wouldnt be able to get onto my drive or into the work carpark so not an option in the end for how low i wanted to run it. I drive mine as low as possible with the air and thats a first for a leon on air from what i've seen so far. look forward to seeing your car at a show. I'm on the lookout for some new wide wheels my merc rims didnt take the abuse as they're originals cracked 3 and twisted all 4.

What have you done with the front S badge? cant see in the pic??
Also what ET are you running on the wheels??

the front s badge has been removed, i cut out the centre with a hacksaw and smoothed it and meshed it, then sprayed it gloss black.

the wheels i cant remember the offset, as they are 2 different sizes, 8s and 9.5s, i bought the wheels first then measured for the adapters. but i can take them off and have a look if you really want to know.

shame about your wheels they looked smart, would like a dish on mine but the front brakes dont allow,

what you thinking of next?

Getting new ARBs the front one rubs when i drive it low so want that so i can drive it lower.
Looking at some adjustable rear dampers, still only got the standard ones on the back at present, whereas the front has adjustable damping incoporated with the air bag.
Got some new wheels on there way until i get some more dish. Hence wondering on the ET, they're matt black with a red pin strip BBS CH's i think they look very good on the leon, give me time to save up for some three piece splities again.
Yer shes a diesel so no brembo's under there, would love to do some to the performance but only 22 so very expensive on the insurance if i modify the engine. did alot of smoothing last year boot, side skirts and the rear bumper as i dont have a stainless exhaust. Very tempted to do the rear wiper but i do use that alot in the winter. I'm planning on doing some plastic welding to my dash to fit in some new digitial air ride guages. mite have a look at plastic welding a new smoothed S badge grill, first attempt wasnt upto standard!
Must set up my own readers ride thread!
As i said before loving your leon nice to see something new.

if you measure an 8.5 rim it lill measure close to 9.5 as the 8.5 measurement is where the tyre sits,

i wouldnt go anymore than 8.5 on the front and 9.5 rear

im running 9.5's up front with absolutely no problem. and im pretty sure you could get 12's on the back with ease.

Beautiful looking piece of kit there. I realise you've now taken them off but can you tell me where you got the chrome surrounds for the front top side grills? Also, how did you de-badge the tailgate as this also doubles as the boot handle/latch?

the chrome surrounds are an extra, you get 3 pieces to it and they are designed for the cupra, but i used the outside 2 parts only as the centre grill is different to the lcr, they can be bought from the dealer at about 20-25 quid, the boot is on a solonoid and has a boot popat the front of the car.

forgot to post these pics, not very noticable but i didnt like the towing cover, far too big,

so we plastic welded the seam

LGIM0371.jpg

then filled in the the gaps with extra plastic ( from an old bumper)

LGIM0374.jpg

then sanded it down

LGIM0375.jpg

finally used filler to cover up and of the remaining small inperfections, sanded it back and primed

its not the best pic but you get the idea

fair play Rick, your braver than me! my mate hit a rock in the road the other week in his ctr, cracked his sump wide open, oil every where! Honda have releived him of £600 for fittind a new sump. They are an aliminium sump on them apparently though.
i reckon you'll be fine Rick as i doubt a rock could get under your car to do any damage:lol:
