hi has anyone fitted the smoked side repeater lenses on the mk2 leon without any wiring mods if so where did you get them from , i have some clear ones but they have a different bulb holder than the stock

lestinge, yes they will, after all i did own a mk2 leon and i did do this mod to it. i took them off my mk4 beeza and put them on the leon and then when i sold that i removed them and now there on my mk4 golf so yes they do fit perfectly

fast al, im pritty sure there wasnt any fully chrome ones that came out the factory? if you look through the clear lens and see the dome bit in the middle there would normally be orange around the this edge sideways? if not well lucky you lol

Mike I have a set of clear LED ones but same as LED sidelights, they will not work with canbus wiring. Just need chipping in to wiring, retaining the existing bulbs hid behind the wing. If you want them give me a shout

then tell me why i have the set on ym mk4 golf? that fit fine? the kit with comes with bulbs holders that u need to put over the original bulb holder, ill even take a pic of mine to prove to you that it fits...

Cos yours is a mk 4 Golf and they're made for a mk4 Golf!

golf mk4 side repeaters work i have them with leds they work perfectly you dont need any kind of resistor to make it work

I bought a set and believe me they don't fit. The receiver is exactly the same size as the bulb holder, thus the holder can't fit inside

then how come when i brought them for my mk4 ibiza then fitted on that then i sold that brought a mk2 leon then sold that for a mk4 golf and then fitted them to that the same clear side repeaters?? tell me how u think i brought them for my golf when i brought them for my ibiza?? thanks

calm down mate. I'm only saying that the ones i bought for a mk4 Golf don't fit my Leon. I ordered a 2nd set from a local car parts shop and their fitment was exactly the same. The bulb holder on the car is too wide to fit into the repeater, it's exactly the same width as the receiver

its worth mentioning that the Mk4 Golf ran for a few years and there are at least 2 different part numbers for the side repeaters. Same story with the Ibiza. Reckon you were just lucky your lights fitted everything you bought.
